Privacy Policy
1. Introduction and Scope
New Standard respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have. It also serves as our notice at collection for California residents. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
The Site is intended for businesses and their representatives. It is not directed to individual consumers making personal purchases, and it is not directed to children.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you complete the contact or lead form, we collect the information you submit, which may include your name, email address, company or brand name, and any details you include in your message. Providing this information is voluntary, but we need it to respond to you.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider collect limited technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, referring pages, the pages you view, and how you interact with the Site. See "Cookies and Analytics" below.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, or health information) through the Site, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger a right to limit under California law.
3. Categories of Personal Information (California notice at collection)
We do not collect the other statutory categories (such as biometric, geolocation beyond approximate IP-based location, or sensitive personal information) through the Site. We have not sold personal information, and we do not knowingly sell personal information.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data, including IP address and online identifiers, on our behalf and under Google's terms. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
Where required by law (including for visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions with consent requirements), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies such as analytics cookies, and analytics does not run until you consent. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where applicable.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we are a fit to work together.
- Communicate with you about your request and our services.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site (including analytics).
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, our users, and the public.
6. How We Share Information, Retention
Sharing. We share personal information only as needed to operate our business: with service providers (our website host, email and CRM providers, and Google for analytics), each under obligations to protect the information and use it only for us; for legal and safety reasons; and in a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention. We keep contact-form information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to pursue a potential or active business relationship, and thereafter as needed for our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's retention settings.
7. Your Privacy Rights and How to Exercise Them
To exercise any right, submit a request through the contact form at newstandardco.com. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days under California law, extendable once; one month under GDPR, extendable by two months for complex requests).
Heading
Where required by law (including for visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions with consent requirements), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies such as analytics cookies, and analytics does not run until you consent. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where applicable.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to: know and access the personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; request deletion; request correction; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out or a right to limit. Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83), we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
EU / UK residents (GDPR and UK GDPR)
For visitors in the EU and UK, New Standard Collective LLC is the data controller. Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for analytics cookies and similar technologies); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and responding to business inquiries; and taking steps at your request before entering a contract. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing already carried out). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we are based in the United States, your information is processed in the U.S.; see "International Data Transfers."
8. International Data Transfers
We operate in the United States, and the information we collect is processed there. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country. For transfers of EU and UK personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites or platforms we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated Policy with a new effective date. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date.
