Everyday Dose

Everyday Dose partnered with New Standard to strengthen its subscription program and turn retention into a more reliable growth channel. New Standard rebuilt key lifecycle journeys, expanded payment and rebill communications, and repeatedly tested the cancellation experience. The result was lower subscriber churn, stronger early-cohort value, and a significant increase in customers saved during cancellation.

THE CHALLENGE

Everyday Dose had a large and growing subscription base, but several parts of the customer journey needed to work together more effectively. New subscribers needed more relevant onboarding and post-purchase education, upcoming rebills needed clearer communication, and customers experiencing payment or product-timing concerns needed better alternatives to cancellation.

The cancellation journey also presented an opportunity. Discounts were available, but customers needed more ways to stay subscribed, including skipping an order, pausing, adjusting delivery frequency, delaying the next shipment, or contacting support. Everyday Dose needed a retention partner that could improve these experiences across Klaviyo and Skio while continuously testing what worked.

WHAT WE DID

New Standard expanded Everyday Dose’s lifecycle program across onboarding, post-purchase, rebill, payment recovery, win-back, and cancellation. From April through August 2026, we launched 74 Klaviyo flows, including 19 post-purchase flows and 9 cart, checkout, and browse-abandonment flows. We built product-specific rebill reminders, billing and dunning communications, milestone journeys, and targeted experiences for churned and higher-risk customers.

In Skio, we continually tested and improved the cancellation journey, introducing tenure-based experiences and more alternatives to cancellation. Customers could accept a discount, skip, pause, adjust frequency, delay their next shipment, or contact support. Contact-support acceptance increased from 5.9% to 14.2%, while skip acceptance rose from 2.5% to 4.4%.

We also launched a new dunning test and product-specific billing reminders, helping increase recovery from 50.2% to 54.4%. Beyond subscriptions, A/B-tested campaigns increased from 10 to 46, covering subject lines, win-back positioning, education, recipes, and promotions. Audience-hygiene work also helped reduce unsubscribe and spam-complaint rates as campaign volume increased.
